Using at least four primary sources read, viewed, or discussed in class, discuss the significance of one major theme, image, or stylistic feature in Afrofuturist cultural production.

Be sure to explicitly identify and define the theme (e.g. queerness, space travel, violence, sexism, environmentalism, etc.), image or symbol (e.g. androids, astronauts, vampires, zombies, etc.), or the stylistic feature (e.g. free indirect discourse, direct address, slang, first person) and explain why this feature is key to understanding Afrofuturism.

A successful essay will have a strong thesis statement that makes consistent use of textual evidence, informed by close readings and analysis of your points.
