A process recording is a written tool used by field education experience students, field instructors, and faculty to examine the dynamics of social work interactions in time. Process recordings can help in developing and refining interviewing and intervention skills. By conceptualizing and organizing ongoing activities with social work clients, you are able to clarify the purpose of interviews and interventions, identify personal and professional strengths and weaknesses, and improve self-awareness. Client is very depressed and also suffers from pass trauma.  Client has been taking medication since 2015 Lithium 10mg and Lexapro 1200mg for mood stability and anxiety.  Client also see a psychiatrist.  Client being in therapy since she 13 years old.  Client was attending Nassau college due to the pandemic.  Client state the she couldn’t cope with online class.  She stopped attending class and give up on college.  Client hasn’t had therapy since October 2020. Client objective since the pandemic was to find a therapist.  Client been depressed and she feels talking to a therapist will get to the root of the problems she being dealing with. Client have past and present trauma at home and is verbal abuse by her father.  Client state that she seeks therapy on her own when she turns 18. Client feel she can’t not do family therapy with her dad because he wouldn’t not let her speak during therapy.  Client goal from therapy is to get a job.  Client is a musician and like journalism.   Client rely on the medication to function.  Client also had suicidal tendencies.  Client like to play guitar and write music and write her blog.  Client would love to have normal without therapy and medication.  Client is an introvert.  Client spend most of her time in the house.  A normal day for client is weaking up and driving her sister to school.  Client see herself living far away from her family and pursuing a career in journalism.  Client keep an auto diary and also do breathing techniques.  Client also drink beer to cope when things are not right. Client start drinking beer in October 2020. Client have depressive mood swings when things don’t go right.  Client have trust issue with family.  Client feel she is in crisis mode all the time.  Client coping skills are immediate distraction, driving and do her auto diary and visit friend.   Client want to work on herself at this present time but her emotions are getting the best of her.  Client want to establish her own independent without and not depend on her parent for financial assistance.  Client take her medication twice a day Lithium and Lexapro help her to control her moods.
