After reading Benedict and Sumner’s arguments as well as Kant’s, are ethical principles absolute and universal, meaning that they apply in all places and at all times, or are they relative and particular, meaning that they are specific to a context, community, or era? Are our ethical beliefs about what is right and wrong in life and in business merely conditioned by our cultures, or do they derive for something more enduring? Are you and your beliefs merely a product of your environment? Consider, in particular your attitudes and our society’s attitudes toward slavery and sweatshop labor to make profits.

Note that you are not required to use outside resources for this paper–Kant and relativism are plenty–but you are welcome to use other resources if you want to. Also, I am not picky about citation formats–you can use Chicago Style or whatever format you are familiar with as long as I know what you are citing.
