For your final paper in this class, you have the option of doing either

A personal essay that details an event in your life. This type of essay will be useful if you are considering transferring to a 4-year university.
Personal Essay Guidelines
- 3-4 pages, double spaced, regular margins.
- Must include all of the elements we discussed.
  - Narrative – there must be a story, a sequence of events
  - Imagery – including sensory detail to keep the reader’s attention.
  - Self-Reflection – an internal dialogue that demonstrates how this event impacted or changed you.
- Since this is a personal essay, I’m not requiring a works cited page. But if you quote someone or something else then you need to include the proper citation.
