Assignment 1: Defining Types of Causation

In this week’s reading we learned about four types of causality: causally necessary, causally sufficient, causally necessary and sufficient, and causal dependence of one variable on another.

By Saturday, February 7, 2015, post two example claims of at least two types of causality and label them appropriately. Then, explain why the example fits your definition/selected type of causality.

By Wednesday, February 11, 2015, comment on at least two of your peers’ posts. Have they appropriately categorized their examples? If not, what type of causality have they offered in their examples?
