You will be writing an argumentative research essay. This essay should have a student created hypothesis that becomes a demonstrable thesis about your topic in Hamlet. Your topic can be, more or less, about any topic, as long as its scope is narrow and focused. It should, however, still be centered on a close reading of the work of literature. For every line of quoted material, there is a mandatory minimum of at least two (2) lines of analysis.

Your paper should be at least 1,250, but no more than 1,500 words. Your paper should be titled, include page numbers inserted in the top right corner (lastname_pagenumber), double spaced, have one inch margins around, and include a works cited page that documents all of your sources correctly.
