I need someone who can help with my questions.

Part I: For this assignment, you will compose your own piece of short creative writing (e.g., poetry, short story, song, etc.) and present this writing to the class. This piece of fiction must fit within one of the themes outlined by the course (i.e., sexual identity; health, family & the HIV/AIDS Epidemic; gender performance; and transnational LGBTQ) and must in some way explore the issue and/or experiences of sexuality/sexual identity (as they have been discussed throughout this semester. Use the following parameters to help you craft and shape your short piece of writing:

1. Poetry (no more than 3 typed pages): your poem can be written in any style you choose, and you are free to play with language as is appropriate, though intelligibility should not be compromised

2. Song (no more than 5 minutes, when performed): your song can be composed in any style or genre you choose, but must be accompanied by written lyrics

3. Short Fiction (no more than 10 typed, double-spaced pages): your piece of short fiction can be in any genre you choose, but must be a work of fiction—even if its events are inspired by actual occurrences or situations. During your presentation, you will only read a short selection from your work—taking no more than 5 minutes

4. (Creative) Non-Fiction (no more than 10 typed, double-spaced pages): Your piece of creative non-fiction must be a work pulled from your own personal experiences (either your own or those of someone with whom you have had close, personal contact). During your presentation, you will only read a short selection from your work—taking no more than 5 minutes

5. Script/Drama/Performance (no longer than a 5-minute performance worth of material): as with the other genres, you are free to select any style or genre. Additionally, you can use material from either personal or fictional experiences, or some mix of the two

For Part I, you may either work individually or as a group (of no more than 3 people). You will need to present your piece along with a discussion during which you explain your intentions in and with the piece, your thoughts about the piece, and your thoughts on how the piece fits into the class and the discussions we have had over the semester.

Part II: In addition to your piece of creative writing, each of you will need to compose and submit a narrative in which you not only discuss the piece you have created but also reflect on how the process of writing this piece has helped you better understand the positions of the authors discussed in the class—and the class topic as a whole. If you work in a group, your reflection should also include a detailed discussion of your contribution to the group (e.g., what you worked on, etc.). In your reflection, be sure to also address and clearly answer the following questions:

1. How has writing this piece impacted how you think of sexuality/sexual orientation as it relates to gender and other social experiences?

2. How did the prospect of sharing your work impacted how you presented your materials and experiences (e.g., caused you to rethink certain language, caused you to clip or alter the presentation of certain experiences, etc.)?

3. How does thinking about the first two of these questions help you better understand the experiences of the authors and materials discussed in the course?

Evaluation: For this assignment, your reflection will be worth 80% of your grade, and will be evaluated on the following criteria, among other things (e.g., adherence to the mechanical specifications outlined below):

1. The degree to which you have included the requirements outlined above

2. The clarity, conciseness, cohesiveness, and criticalness of your discussions

3. The accuracy and criticalness of your reflection on the course, class discussion, and course materials

4. Your command of grammar, the mechanics of writing, spelling, diction, syntax, etc.

The creative portion counting for the remaining 20%, and will be evaluated on the following criteria:

1. The clarity/intelligibility of the piece’s alignment with one of the course’s themes

2. The originality/inventiveness/creativity of the piece

3. The cohesiveness and clarity of the piece itself (i.e., does it make sense?)

4. Your command and use of grammar, the mechanics of writing, spelling, diction, etc.

This scale is to remove as much pressure from your creative endeavor as possible.

Submission: You will submit both your typed creative piece and your written narrative as two separate Word files. Be sure that each file is titled accordingly so that it is clear to identify which file is which. Files must be submitted as .doc or .docx files, and must be uploaded to Canvas no later than 11:59 p.m. on the due date, in order to receive a grade.

Mechanical specifications: Be sure that each document is formatted using the following specifications:

1. Typed and double-spaced, in 12-point, Times New Roman font (with no extra spaces between either the heading and the body or individual paragraphs)—THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE WRITTEN NARRATIVE

2. 1-inch margins on all sides

3. Includes proper heading, typed in the top left corner (do not use the header function for this information): Your name; Instructor; Course; and Due Date

4. MLA formatted in-text citations and Works Cited page (if applicable)

5. Saved and uploaded to Canvas as a Word document (.docx or .doc)

( I need a simple presentation and when you choose a topic please write something I can speak for 5 minutes when I present)
