Laird Hamberlin is the Senior Vice President of Commercial for PODS Enterprises. PODS is the category leader for consumer-focused containerized moving and storage that was founded in 1998. He joined PODS as an equity investor in October where he leads all aspects of the Commercial Division. Prior to joining PODS, Laird had been with Terminix (A Division of ServiceMaster) since July 2015 and American Home Shield (another ServiceMaster company) from April of 2012 to July 2015. As an equity investor of ServiceMaster he helped to take that company public in June of 2014. Laird worked for various conglomerates including United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where he served as President of the Access Controls division. Laird was responsible for developing and executing plans to drive continued growth and expansion for the businesses worldwide, which includes Onity, a leading global provider of electronic locks and energy management systems and Lenel, a leading provider of enterprise software, integrated systems and access control systems. Previously he served as President of Southeast Asia (living in Singapore for 5 years) and Vice President, Global Accounts for Tyco Fire & Security, a worldwide provider of fire and security products and services. He has held various roles in sales, operations, business development and general management throughout his career. Laird holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Delta State University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He also sits on the Board of Directors for various profit and non-profit organizations.
