Easy Intro to Logic Essay, watch 30 min short movie and write 1-2 page reaction!

what you have to do for this essay is watch a movie called “Shadowlands” (30 mins of it) and write a reaction of it in 1-2 pages. also, remember, this is an intro to logics class

Here is what my teacher says:

1. on the idea behind the Edutainment

You may earn the aforementioned credit by submitting a short essay
as reflection on a movie. It will certainly be an “excursion” into
something out of the ordinary, and I want everyone to know that it
is my intention and expectation as well that everyone will enjoy
it, and at the same time will be provoked to think about one of the
most fundamental human conditions to which rational and logical
thinking can and should be applied.

I hope everyone would appreciate by now how distinctive logic is as
a discipline that stands at the forefront of exploring how we are
supposed to behave as a rational cognitive being. But at the same
time, it is important to recognize that part of understanding
logical or analytical thinking is to be aware of its limitation,
i.e., its boundary with ‘extra-logical’ realm, along with its usual
prowess. It is intellectually preposterous to think that the
‘totality’ of truths is benign enough to allow us to employ our
rational-logical analyses alone, especially when we are forced to
think about the paradoxes of human conditions.

Indeed, one of such human conditions is the fact that our existence
is full of evil things, perhaps more acutely for those who are
inclined to think that the world could not have existed without a
powerful, intelligent, benevolent Creator. (Also the opposite
question of similar nature may be asked reversely by those with a
different worldview: why is there such a tremendous degree of
orderliness as well as beauty in reality?) The issue which has been
called the ‘problem of evil’ is something that commands a lot more
than logical analysis; and the Edutainment will give you a chance
to think about it in a different context as you will get you
exposed to the life story (well, actually love story) of C.S.
Lewis.

Like many others, I view movie as an excellent platform for
story-telling with various upper edges over other kinds by
virtue of combining literature, art, music, and so forth, just
to name a few. Here, I want you not to lose the sight, or rather
hearing, of beautiful music. Although it was written for this
contemporary movie, I think it is well within the same tradition
of British excellence in portraying pastoral serenity (e.g.,
Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Britten, Delius…)

(That is what my teacher wrote when explaining this homework, I don’t know if it will further help you to consider when writing a reaction?)

He also wrote:

You have total freedom as to what to write as a reaction (no need
to repeat the story line; but at least address one question, what
was the most memorable scene, and why). A theme can be approached
from two different avenues, i.e., philosophical and emotional, you
may choose to write either a reflective or visceral essay, or
perhaps some combination thereof. Do not prejudge it by its cover,
title, or review by others.

PLEASE TO SURE TO ADDRESS THE QUESTIONS HE ASKED LIKE what
was the most memorable scene, and why? AND THE THEME PART HE TALKS ABOUT .
