2) Conduct research using your course textbook and outside sources to answer the question.

3) Write your response to the question in a formal academic essay format – introduction with thesis statement; supporting body paragraphs; conclusion.

Sources and Citation: For any outside resources you use, provide proper citation. The MC library and the GT Writing Center have useful handouts to help you with citation questions. You are also welcome to confer with me about proper citation prior to the due date. Use parenthetical citation with a works cited page.

• You must include at least one explicit connection and reference to the assigned readings for the course.

• This assignment will require you to use outside resources. You must use at least five distinct sources in order to compare the information provided on each. (This is good practice for testing the accuracy of the information you have found.)

• Think carefully and critically about any internet resources you are using. Not all websites are accurate. Check to see how current the information is, who the intended audience is, etc. Make sure that you include sources that disagree with each other.
