The following data are IQ scores from a study comparing twins raised by biological parents to those raised by foster parents. The reference is Burt, C. (1966) The genetic determination of differences in intelligence: A study of monozygotic twins reared together and apart. British Journal of Psychology 57, 137-153. According to documentation in the statistical package R (data set BURT in package car), ‘The “data” were simply (and notoriously) manufactured.’ In addition, I changed one of the values. The numerals in square brackets, e.g., [1], are not part of the data.
