The objective of your final assignment is to build an analysis, in the form of an essay, to a policy maker forecasting the circumstances of a selected current event (your choice) six months in the future.

The purpose of the final assignment is to understand the basis of anticipatory analysis by engaging the 4 step process of information collection, synthesis of the collected information, analysis of applicable material, and intelligence document production, while simultaneously, applying the academics learned.

You are the analyst providing a reasonable, well formulated prediction.

For clarity: Here is what I am looking for:

• a 5 page analysis based on picking a current event and projecting ~6 months into the future
• you are free to relate your analysis to the same subject you wrote your paper on, so that your research will be easier. You are _not_ required to use that subject, it is only for your benefit in research.
• My focus and the bulk of the grade will be on how good your I&W analysis of your chosen event is. You should certainly have some sources–you can’t make up the details of a real-world event, and you need details to do some good analysis.
